This is a general page about the Team Project that’s part of the CS6440 course. Teams will have a total of 6 required project deliverables to be completed as a team and a team evaluation to be completed individually.
Deliverable 0, is split into two parts (A & B) which should also be completed as team but submitted individually – See the Deliverable 0 page for more details. It is your responsibility to participate and form teams. Only under unique circumstances will the Instructors help form teams, we will mostly guide you using the Start-of-Course Survey, and cannot promise a favorable team. Once the teams submit their final team deliverables, each team member is required to submit a team evaluation, to evaluate the performance and contribution of their other teammates. The team evaluation is to be completed and submitted individually as a part of their overall project grade – See the Team Evaluation page for more details.
- D0 – Team Formation A – 1 point
- D0 – Team Formation B – 2 points
- D1 – Team Topic Presentation – 3 points
- D2 – Team Technical Presentation – 4 points
- D3 – Team Progress Report – 5 points
- D4 – Team Final Project Presentation – 6 points
- D5 – Team Final Project – 10 points
Deliverables 1-5 must include an updated Gantt chart that tracks the roles, tasks and progression of the project. Additionally, your submissions must include your Weekly Status Reports, unless otherwise stated by your TA mentor. Although, these task is considered a project management responsibility – teams will be penalized if it is not included in their deliverables, as each team member should be involved in it’s development and progression throughout the life of the project.
Teams are provided with a private GT Github Repository, hosted at github.gatech.edu to be used throughout the duration of the project. It is a requirement to use, therefore, do not store your project on a public GitHub account. IRB training may be required for some projects, please consult with your TA mentor after Week 6 to verify if your team does.
Team Evaluations & Individual Marks
Team Evaluations will open during Week 16, after all project deliverables have been submitted and hosted on Canvas. These evaluations give each individual student/teammate the opportunity to review their teammate performance on the team. Of course, the evaluations must be backed with evidence from the deliverables, updates to TA mentor and Gantt chart – for good or poor outcomes. It is worth 1 points of the overall 35 point project grade.
Individual Marks are the final score each individual obtains based on their individual contribution to the project. This is calculated by TA evaluation and the team evaluation (see above). This is worth 3 points of the overall 35 point project grade.
Below you can find a refined schedule that highlights the team deliverables and the team evaluation. You can find the full course calendar and all of the course deliverables here.
